As people prepare to return to work, NORNORM and leading real estate developer MRP have teamed up to create a flexible working solution that’s primed for adaptability.
Founded in 2020, NORNORM is a subscription-based furnishing service founded on a circular business model with the simple premise: Don’t buy office furniture. Subscribe to it. NORNORM subscribers join a service that collaborates and adapts to their needs on a continual basis, ensuring they stay at their most flexible and functional. With a focus on circularity and utilising cutting edge technology to map how office space is actually used, NORNORM’s service is the perfect fit for MRP’s new flexible workspace — MRP Flex Offices.
“We hope that NORNORM can serve as a test case for a better way of doing business — one that emphasizes collaborations based on shared ethics, one that minimizes waste through circular design and business practice, and one that is made to adapt to people’s needs as a rule, not as an exception.”
—Jonas Kjellberg, Co-Founder NORNORM and Chairman of the Board
Three floors in WFC Amsterdam (World Fashion Centre), owned and developed by MRP, in Amsterdam’s New West have been furnished by NORNORM.
With more than 100 years of experience, MRP are pioneers in their field of real estate development. They invest in projects that have an impact on social progress, but also think carefully about sustainability and innovation. They are the first in the Dutch market to partner with NORNORM. Bart Meijer, CEO MRP explains: "Technology, flexibility and innovation are important to our organization. We are pleased and proud that we have started the first project with NORNORM and teamed up with this innovative partner to build on the future of flexible and adaptable workplaces. Many large institutional office users are uncertain about the capacity needed post pandemic. The NORNORM solution gives the greatest flexibility with the smallest environmental impact.”
Technology is a consistent theme within this collaboration. MRP Flex Offices houses TNW Spaces — a recently launched tech hub that houses a fast-growing and vibrant tech community.
"TNW builds workspaces for fast-growing tech companies and talent. We offer the support and flexible workspace solutions that are right for them, so that they can focus on what matters, delivering their very best work. NORNORM is a seamless match with this mission, working with them is a no-brainer to us and a relieve to our fast growing customers.”
— Sophie op den Kamp, Managing Director TNW Spaces.
